4ThePlayer follows up 2024's 5 Wild Buffalo with a sequel, 5 Wild Buffalo 2, adding an ante-style Power Bet and a Golden Buffalo mechanic on top of the original's structure. Trees replace the rocky outcrops of the earlier game, but the wood-framed 5x4 grid, spinning jackpot wheel and jackpot display all carry over, and wins still form across 1,024 ways when three or more matching symbols land on adjacent reels starting from the left.

Stakes run 0.20 to 80 per spin, and the Power Bet option adds 25% on top of the stake to improve the odds of reaching free spins. Card ranks ten through ace pay up to 0.15x the stake for five of a kind, while horses, eagles, cougars, wolves, bears and buffalo pay between 0.2x and 0.25x. A wild rock-formation symbol can land on any reel and substitutes for everything except the scatter.

Five Fortune prizes sit above the reels, graded from a modest Mini tier up through Big, Super and Mega to the top Ultra prize, spanning 8x to 5,000x the stake. A diamond landing on any symbol, or a wild landing during free spins, raises the value of the prize sitting above that reel; enough diamonds hitting at once can spin the Fortune Wheel to pay out whichever prize is currently lit, after which it resets to its starting value. Buffalo Thunder fires separately, whenever four buffalo symbols land on the same reel, merging them into a single symbol worth a x5 to x10 multiplier.

The new Golden Buffalo stacks always appear as a full four-high column carrying a x10 multiplier and count as ordinary buffalo symbols toward wins. In the base game they arrive through one of three effects: Summon drops one to four stacks onto the reels as they spin, Shuffle relocates an existing stack to build or improve a win, and Nudge shifts a partially visible stack fully into view.

Free spins pay 8, 15 or 25 spins for three, four or five scatters, and retrigger for 4, 8, 15 or 25 more when two to five scatters land again. During the bonus, wilds expand into a single reel-filling symbol worth x6 to x12, and a Golden Buffalo stack moves to cover between one and four reels on every spin, though it can no longer trigger Summon, Shuffle or Nudge. Both routes into the bonus can be bought outright: free spins cost 65x the stake, and a guaranteed Buffalo Thunder spin costs 100x.

The underlying math carries over from the original release: 96.01% RTP, high volatility, and a ceiling of 7,500x the stake.
