8-Bit Quest has been opened 3 times in our recorded bonus hunts between 24 May 2026 and 28 Jun 2026; the median open returned 28.29× the bet, and 0 of 3 opens (0%) returned 100× or more; the biggest single result recorded was 43.1× the bet.
A multiplier is the win divided by the bet for that open. A bought bonus typically costs around 100× the bet, so opens below 100× lost money on the buy.
Every row is a real bonus opened on a live stream and recorded at the time — no simulations, no estimates, nothing back-filled. Unfinished opens are excluded. How this data is collected →

We have opened 8-Bit Quest 3 times between 24 May 2026 and 28 Jun 2026 on stream and logged the result. The best of those paid 43.1× the bet. That is too few opens to say anything about how the game behaves — it is a record of what happened on those occasions, nothing more.
Nownow Gaming, a studio partnered with Hacksaw Gaming, built 8-Bit Quest around a chunky, pixelated aesthetic that recreates the look of early arcade cabinets and console cartridges. The framing device is an old-style television bezel wrapped around the reels, complete with the boxy plastic-and-glass styling associated with retro home entertainment, setting a nostalgic tone for players who remember pre-digital gaming. Released on 18 March 2025, the slot leans into fantasy staples once the action begins, with a wizard, a princess and a dragon populating its higher-value symbols.
The game spins out on a 5x4 grid delivering 1,024 ways to win, and every winning combination triggers a cascade in which matched symbols clear from the board and new ones drop in to fill the gaps. Low-value icons take the shape of jagged-edged card suits — diamonds, hearts, clubs and spades — while a key, a set of crossed swords, and the trio of princess, wizard and dragon carry the higher payouts. Five-symbol wins pay 0.3x the stake for suit symbols and between 1x and 1.5x for the premium set. A wild appears able to replace anything except the scatter, and it plays a central role in the game's multiplier system.
Following a winning cascade, the Wild Loot mechanic can drop extra wild symbols into empty spaces on reels two through four before the next set of symbols tumbles into place. Each wild carries its own multiplier value, ranging from x2 up to x100, and under the Multiplier Mania system, any wild that contributes to a win adds that value onto a Global Multiplier tracker sitting above the grid. That combined figure is then applied to the win before the next cascade begins; in ordinary base-game spins the tracker resets once the sequence of tumbles ends.
Scatters unlock the 8-Bit Bonus: three landing awards 10 free spins, four awards 15, and five awards 20. The same cascading and wild-multiplier mechanics carry over into this round, but with one key change — the Global Multiplier accumulates across the whole bonus rather than resetting between spins, letting the total climb substantially higher than in the base game. Three separate buy-in options are on offer for players who want to skip ahead: doubling the stake for a set of BonusHunt spins triples the odds of hitting a feature, a 50x-the-bet Wild Quest purchase guarantees a wild carrying at least a x3 multiplier, and spending 100x the stake buys direct entry into the 8-Bit Bonus itself.
Mathematically, 8-Bit Quest sits at high volatility (4 out of 5) with a maximum payout of 10,000x the stake, achievable either in the free spins round or during a Wild Quest purchase. RTP is listed at 96.22%, with an alternative 94.26% configuration also available depending on the operator. Stakes run from 0.10 up to 100 per spin. In practice, the combination of frequent small cascades and an accumulating multiplier gives the game a slow-build rhythm, where value tends to come from stacking wild multipliers over a sequence rather than from any single symbol landing.
8-Bit Quest has an RTP (return to player) of 96.22%. RTP is the theoretical percentage of total stakes a slot returns to players over a very large number of spins, as published by Nownow Gaming — individual sessions can land far above or below it.
8-Bit Quest is rated high volatility. High-volatility slots pay out less often, but wins tend to be bigger when they land — expect longer dry spells and larger swings to your balance.
The advertised maximum win for 8-Bit Quest is 10,000x. Max wins are extremely rare by design — treat them as a ceiling, not an expectation.
8-Bit Quest is developed by Nownow Gaming and was released in 2025.
