Red7 built Action Bank Plus for WMS as a modern take on the long-running Bar-X machine family, keeping the stripped-back, steel-panelled look those older cabinets were known for rather than reaching for a contemporary art style. The layout spreads across six reels and four rows, generating 4,096 ways to land a win, and a narrow extra strip runs down the sixth reel purely to host bonus symbols.

Four symbols carry the whole paytable: Zero, X, BAR, and 7. The 7 ranks highest, six matching symbols paying out 20 times the stake, while Zero pays nothing on its own. Instead, Zero does double duty elsewhere — it tops up free spins once the round is running, and when several stack up on that sixth reel they convert into vault symbols.

Vault symbols only appear on the sixth reel, and four of them trigger the bonus: players pick one vault to open, revealing anywhere up to 16 free spins. Any Zero symbols showing on the grid at that same moment each add a further spin, for as many as 20 extra on top of the base award, and fresh vaults landing during the round extend it again on the same terms.

A wild only shows up once free spins are running, restricted to the four middle reels, carrying a randomised joker face and standing in for every symbol except Zero and the vault icon. The free spins round also swaps in doubled versions of the 7, BAR and X symbols — Double 7, Double Bar, Double X — restricted to the leftmost reel, each one counting as two matching symbols in a single position.
