Six Megaways reels sit above a horizontal tracking reel in Bass Boss Megaways, Red Tiger's follow-up to the fishing slot it launched in 2022, and together they generate up to 117,649 ways to win on any given spin. Six matching symbols on adjacent reels pay 0.2x to 0.25x the stake for the card-royal set, or 0.4x to 2.5x for reels, hats, boxes and boats as the higher-value symbols. There is no wild, but winning symbols are removed after every hit and replaced by new ones dropping into their place, with the chain repeating until a spin produces no further win. Stakes run from 0.20 to 20 per spin, and neither an ante bet nor a feature-buy option is offered.

A fisherman positioned above the board casts a line during or after spins to gather fish symbols scattered across the grid; landing the float over a reel collects every fish sitting on it. Groundbait can trigger at random before a cast, seeding at least one fish on each reel, and a x2, x3, x5 or x10 multiplier occasionally attaches to the float itself, inflating the value of whatever it catches. Two special scatters live there too — a Fish School symbol that turns everything on the reel above it, plus itself, into grey or blue fish for the fisherman to collect, and an Underwater Mine that explodes on capture and sweeps up every fish prize showing on the reels at once.

An instant Contest Spins scatter on the horizontal reel hands out 10 free Contest Spins the moment it is caught. Ordinary Contest Spins scatters scale the same reward upward with quantity: three landing gives the smallest free-spin count and six the largest, running from 10 up to 25. Inside the round the fisherman casts on every spin, and a four-milestone tracker counts fish caught: reaching 12, 13, 14 or 15 fish clears a level, each one adding eight extra spins and raising the float multiplier through x2, x3, x5 and finally x10 for the rest of the bonus.
