Print Studios puts a lumberjack at the centre of Big Stack Lumberjack, setting the 5x3 grid against felled hillsides and standing timber rendered in the same style as the developer's other outdoor releases. Ten fixed paylines pay left to right, stakes stretch from 0.10 to 50 a spin, and the maximum RTP is 96.18%, with two reduced configurations also available at 94.26% and 86.18%.

Low-value symbols are a felled log, a rock, a tree stump and a bush, each worth 2.5x the stake for five matching icons on a line. Above them sit four types of tree — spruce, elm, maple and beech — paying between 5x and 10x for a full line of five. These tree symbols land fully stacked on their reel, and a completed stack can carry a symbol multiplier worth up to 100x, boosting every future win of that same tree. A wild scatter substitutes for any of the regular pay symbols and also triggers the bonus round.

Timberfall is the game's core mechanic: a stacked tree symbol can be chopped away, spilling down to fill the reel from the bottom to whichever side — left or right — the feature sends it. In the base game, a separate Eternal Oak gradually fills in behind the reels over successive spins; once it is fully grown, axe symbols start appearing, and landing one gives a chance to fell the Oak and launch Ultimate Lumberjack Spins outright, after which the Oak resets to a random growth stage.
