Bison Rising: Reloaded Megaways

Blueprint Gaming reworked its 2018 release Bison Rising Megaways into Bison Rising Reloaded Megaways, which arrived on 14 December 2023. The setting is the North American wilderness, with rock formations, grass and dust behind the grid. The Reloaded treatment leaves the base game largely alone and adds three optional gambles before the free spins begin.

The grid has six reels plus a horizontal tracker reel across the top of reels 2 to 5. Each column can land 2 to 7 symbols, which gives up to 117,649 ways to win. Wins trigger a cascade: winning symbols are removed, symbols drop to fill the gaps, and the tracker feeds in from the side. Any new win after a drop sets off the cascade again. Volatility is medium to high, the RTP is 96% and the maximum win is 25,000x the stake. Bets range from 0.10 to 100, and the stated 96% applies to normal play and to bought bonuses alike.

Low pays are the playing-card ranks from 9 to A, worth 1x to 1.5x the bet for six of a kind. The premiums are moose, wolves, bears and bison, paying 2x to 50x for six matching symbols. The wild shows a buffalo and can only land on the tracker reel, where it replaces any regular pay symbol. Mystery symbols are the other special type: whenever they appear, all of them reveal the same random symbol, which is never a wild or a scatter.

Free spins are awarded for scatters on the main reels. Four scatters give 15 spins, five give 19, six give 23 and seven give 27. Before the round starts, three separate gamble wheels can be played. One can increase the spin count up to 30, one can set a starting multiplier of up to x10, and one can fix a minimum number of ways, up to the full 117,649. A failed gamble forfeits the free spins altogether. In the round itself, the win multiplier climbs by 1 after every cascading win, and three or four scatters on the tracker reel add 5 or 10 extra spins.

The buy bonus offers four tiers, starting at 32x the bet for 8 spins and rising to 350x for 27 spins, with 12 spins at 70x and 19 spins at 175x. The multiplier begins at x1 in all of them, and the same three gamble wheels are available after purchase.
