Chili Bonanza X UP

The X UP mechanic, first popularised elsewhere in Infinity Dragon Studios' wider studio family, turns up in Chili Bonanza X UP wrapped in a chili-pepper, Day of the Dead theme, complete with a guitar-strumming mouse, a sombrero and an upbeat soundtrack running under the reels.

The game runs on the format's usual 5-reel, 3-row grid with 243 ways to win, rated high volatility and offered in three RTP settings that top out at 96.33%. At that setting, hits land at a theoretical 24.14%, formed whenever three or more matching symbols connect from the leftmost reel outward. Ten regular symbols fill the paytable: five royals worth 1 to 1.67x the stake for a five-symbol win, and five higher-paying food symbols worth 2.33 to 4x. A wild appears across all five reels, substitutes for any of them, pays 4.17x the stake for a five-of-a-kind, and expands to fill its entire reel whenever it lands.

Landing exactly two scatters awards an X UP token, which climbs a multiplier trail running from x2 up to x50. Three scatters instead pay 2x the stake outright and trigger 8 free spins carrying whatever multiplier the trail has reached at that point; reaching x50 in the base game awards those free spins automatically without a scatter hit at all. During the round, two scatters landing together add a further 2 spins, and any tokens collected along the way keep pushing the multiplier higher still.

An Upsizer option lets players pay to raise the free spins multiplier further once the round has triggered naturally, with the cost cut by tokens already banked before the offer appears. A separate Buy Bonus lets anyone purchase the free spins outright after the feature has triggered organically once during play. Bets run from 0.30 to 12 per spin, the maximum win is capped at 50,000x the stake, and Chili Bonanza X UP released in April 2023.
