Coins and Cannons pairs two systems Slotmill has used before - a coin-collecting cluster pay grid and a wild-frontier pirate setting - on a 6x6 board where five or more connected matching symbols, in any direction, form a win and set off the Avalanche tumble. Diamonds, clubs, hearts, spades and four coloured gems make up the paytable, paying 0.2-1.2x the stake for a five-symbol cluster and rising to 6-100x for clusters of fourteen or more; a skull-faced wild fills in for anything except the coin and cannon symbols, though it carries no value when standing in for a Coin.

Coins land already worth between 1x and 40x the bet. Group five or more into a cluster and their combined value pays out before that cluster clears and reforms as a single coin carrying the pooled total, ready to keep growing as the avalanche continues. Cannon symbols work differently: each one lands worth somewhere between x2 and x100, and once the board settles with no further wins on offer, every Cannon showing is added together and the resulting number multiplies the round's total payout.
