Disco Balls review
By Johnessy · Updated
disco Balls feels like a game of bingo where you're really just hoping to hit the record on the board.
So, Disco Balls feels a bit like Bingo where you're really just hoping to hit the record. As I'm watching this game that I'm playing right now, the record is in number two, and every single time a ball drops, the multiplier of either odd or even increases.
For the last 24 games, 44% was red, 56% was yellow, 46% was low, and 54% was high. I'm really hoping, whilst actually playing this game right now, that one of these disco balls hits the records. I'm really hoping that the records on the disco balls are hit right now.
There are 45 Xs and everything on this board right now.
Disco Ball seems pretty slow as well. At this moment in time, I don't know exactly what is making the cat throw the balls out.
I have no idea why it's being thrown out. It feels like it's pure random. There's no actual events making this happen. As we're going into the next round right now... I'm really, really, really hoping that the disco record actually lands so that I can show you the bloody bonus.
\ \ So it seems like only one number can win. If one number wins, then basically, yeah, you win.
So as long as you pick the right number, you're going to win. But if you have a 1 in 20 chance of winning...
Right, a golden record is now on the board. A record is now on the board as we speak. There are two now. There are two records on the screen. God damn it, please let this hit so that I can show you this.
Okay, one of the golden record things now has a times two on it, but the number eight was chosen, so that hasn't happened. So I actually understand this a bit more now. \ \ So the numbers being pulled are completely random. The numbers get thrown on the board, wherever they land.
There are 20 numbers in the case at the back, like a lottery machine. If one of those numbers is pulled, it ends the game. If none of those numbers are pulled, the multis keep increasing. Every time a ball is sucked up from the lottery machine, if it's a colour, it gets more multis.
If it's a number, the round is over. That is exactly how Disco Balls works. I got it. \ \ So unfortunately, the bonus hasn't actually landed yet. I've watched about eight or nine games so far. Now, I have seen it before and it's basically a big grid.
Imagine a big grid with that guy who is dancing; the character is on the left side. He is dancing, and a wheel is spun. The wheel either tells him to go forward, left, right, or backwards. Every time he lands on a square, it holds a multi; it can hold an 8x, 16x, 32x, 240x, or whatever multis they decide to put on the board.
If he crosses the path with that multi, that multi is then given to the players. In some cases, there are actually double-up multis, which will times all multis by two. It's a cool concept, but it's just very slow for me; like really, really slow for me.
It's not a game that I would actually go out there and sit down to play at all. So, if this kind of game you like, you know, go and enjoy it. It's not really a game for me.
What I liked
- The Concept
What I didn’t like
- How long it takes
My verdict
My final verdict is that I don't think I would actually sit and play this game even in my own time. I don't think I'd play it on stream either. It's just too slow, and it's a bit cheesy to be honest.
