Fawkes

Wicked Games built Fawkes around the 1605 Gunpowder Plot, staging the whole game like a theatre production — curtains part at the start, historical narration sets the scene, and puppet-style wild symbols move around a stage-like 6x4 grid. Wooden props and a card-and-symbol art style tie the presentation together across 4,096 ways to win, though matching symbols can split during play, pushing the maximum number of ways as high as 5,159,700.

Card values from 10 through Ace form the lower end of the paytable, paying 0.5x to 1x the stake for six of a kind, while keys, swords, lanterns and two named character symbols sit above them, returning 1.25x to 2.5x for the same combination length. Wild symbols only appear on reels two through six, occupy a 1x4 vertical space, can land fully or partly in view, and substitute for everything except the Gunpowder Barrel symbol used to trigger the game's features.

Below the main grid sits a separate Gunpowder Cache reel spinning right to left, showing nothing but blank spaces or Gunpowder Barrels. When Barrels line up with wilds on the main grid during ordinary play, one of three Execution Modifiers can fire depending on the count: one or four Barrels sets off Hanged, stretching a partially visible wild across its whole reel; two or five sets off Drawn, splitting any wild-covered position into two wilds and increasing the ways count; and three or six sets off Quartered, copying a wild-covered position onto a neighbouring reel with overlapping wilds multiplied up to three times.

Landing four Gunpowder Barrels in the Cache awards 11 Free Spins with a choice of the Hanged or Drawn modifier running throughout; five Barrels instead grants 8 Quartered Free Spins, and six Barrels unlocks 5 High Treason Free Spins, where all three modifiers can trigger together whenever a wild lands. Extra Barrels appearing beneath the leftmost reel during Fawkes' Free Spins reveal between one and five additional spins, while Barrels under any of the other reels reveal wilds that count as an extra symbol on the reel above.

An Ante Bet raises the stake by 2x to more than triple the odds of triggering Free Spins, or by 10x to triple those odds again while guaranteeing an Execution Modifier on every spin. Feature buys let players go straight to a specific round: 75x the stake for Hanged or Drawn, 150x for Quartered, 600x for High Treason, 165x for the Buy Chance Bonus, and 240x for its Big Boom Bonus variant. The published numbers put Fawkes on a medium volatility rating of 3.5 out of 5, a 96.23% RTP, a maximum win of 20,000x the stake, and a bet range running from 0.20 to 400 per spin.
