A rising reel multiplier drives most of the action in Firekick! MultiMax, Yggdrasil Gaming's football-themed follow-up to its 2020 release Multifly!, built on the same mechanic under new colours and a stadium backdrop.

Each of the five reels holds its own multiplier value that only grows once a win has cleared. Matching symbols on three or more adjacent reels, read from the left, are removed from the board after paying out, letting fresh symbols fall in from above — and if that fall produces another match, the cycle continues until nothing new lands.

A wild appears in one of the freshly emptied spots after each drop, nudging that reel's multiplier up by one; wilds themselves stand in for any paying symbol. Where a win draws on more than one multiplied reel, the values multiply together rather than add, so two moderate multipliers can turn a small hit into a large one. Outside of free spins, every multiplier resets once the spin resolves.

The setting puts play on a sunlit pitch with a full stadium behind it, fist-pumping crowds and a hard house track running under the reels — presentation built for football fans rather than a generic fruit or fantasy skin. Card ranks nine through Ace make up the lower pays, each worth as much as 0.8 times the bet at five-of-a-kind, while the five football-player symbols pay the premiums, 2 to 4 times the stake for a complete line of five.

A trio, quartet or full five of matching scatters pays out 6, 8 or 10 free spins in turn, and unlike the base game, reel multipliers here don't reset between spins — they keep climbing as the round runs. Before the spins begin there's a gamble option: pick a side of the goal to try to push the total as high as 11 spins, with a wrong guess normally costing the whole round, though the game's own Firekick! mechanic occasionally rescues a bad pick.

Players who'd rather skip to the free spins can buy 6 of them outright for 70 times the bet, with the gamble option still available once purchased. The published figures put Firekick!
