Play'n GO built a sequel to its earlier pirate title with Jolly Roger 2, using a semi-transparent 5x3 grid set over a ship's deck at sea with cannons trained outward, an orchestral pirate score running underneath the action on every spin.

Twenty fixed paylines carry the wins, paying combinations from 10 through A on the low end, with diamonds and treasure chests joining a run of skull-themed premiums — skull crucifixes and skull rings included — for the higher-value set; the top five-of-a-kind combinations pay 5x to 10x the bet. A skull-and-crossbones wild matches the treasure chest's payout and substitutes for every symbol except the scatter.

A Compass positioned above the reels can trigger at random on any spin, attaching a multiplier — x2, x3, x5, x8, or as high as x10 — to that spin's result. Battle Free Spins has no set number of spins; instead, three lives carry the round until they run out. Each battle plays out on a coin grid against either a Merchant Ship or one of three named Privateer vessels — Dutch, British or Portuguese — with whichever side lands more coins taking the round.
