Lady of Avalon

Barcrest Online builds Lady of Avalon as a fantasy take on the expanding-symbol 'Book of' format, replacing pulp adventure with a knights-and-magic setting. The reels sit against a moonlit lake, with royal card symbols joined by black horses, spellbooks, medieval castles and a wizard drawn from the same mould as the format's usual explorer icon.

Play runs across a 5-reel, 3-row grid with 10 paylines, and stakes span 10 cents to 500 per spin. Barcrest ties the return to player to stake size: spins below 2 in the local currency return 94%, rising to 96% once the bet reaches 2 or more.

The wizard is the top-paying standard symbol, worth 500x the stake for five on a line, while Lady Avalon herself works as both wild and scatter, paying 250x the stake for five of a kind. Wins in Lady of Avalon don't need the symbols to sit on connecting reels to count, widening how a line can form beyond the usual left-to-right rule.

Landing three or more scatters anywhere on the grid opens 10 free spins. Before the round starts, one symbol is chosen at random to expand — whenever it lands during a free spin it grows to cover the full reel, and a screen filled with wizard symbols pays the game's full 5,000x maximum. Three more scatters during the round add another 10 free spins, and there's no limit on how many times it can retrigger.

High volatility keeps outcomes swingy between those retriggers, with the published return ranging 94% to 96% across Barcrest's two stake-based configurations.
