Lord Merlin and the Lady of the Lake

Play'n GO returns to Arthurian territory with a sequel to 2019's Rise of Merlin, moving the action from that game's ice and snow into a sunlit lake scene: gnarled trees lean over the water, lily pads spread across the surface, and clear sky fills the background. The Lady who gave Arthur his sword Excalibur shares the marquee with Lord Merlin here, and that same sword lends its name to one of the round's bonus features.

Five reels carry ten fixed paylines on a 5x3 layout, with wins needing three or more low-value symbols, or two or more high-value ones, matched consecutively from the leftmost reel. Ten through Ace fill the lower end of the paytable, while a staff, a hat and a crest sit above them, with Merlin himself topping the list; five of any of these top four pay between 75x and 1,000x the stake. The Lady acts as the wild, matching Merlin's payout and standing in for any regular symbol in a winning combination.

Landing three, four or five scatters opens 8 free spins along with an immediate win of 1x, 10x or 100x the triggering stake. Rather than locking one expanding symbol in for the whole round, the game randomly picks a fresh special symbol for each individual spin; whenever that symbol contributes to a win it grows to fill its entire reel and then pays from any position on that reel rather than only along the ten lines.

The sword scatters change roles during free spins, turning into wild scatters that can also substitute for regular symbols. Two or more of them award an Excalibur Spin apiece, and whichever special symbol triggered that particular free spin carries over and stays fixed for every Excalibur Spin that follows. Further pairs of wild scatters keep extending the sequence, with no cap on how many times it can repeat.

A gamble round follows any win: call a card's colour for a double, or its suit for a quadruple, across as many as five consecutive tries or until a 2,500-coin ceiling is hit. RTP defaults to 96.2%, with four lower alternate settings down to 84.2% depending on where it's offered; volatility carries an 8-out-of-10 rating, the maximum win is 10,000x the stake, and bets scale from 0.10 to 100 per spin.
