MexoMax 2

Yggdrasil released MexoMax 2 on September 24, 2025, extending its MultiMax series of multiplier-driven cluster slots into a sequel of the 2022 original. The game plays out on a 6x6 grid, where a win forms any time five or more matching symbols link up in a connected horizontal or vertical run; winning symbols then clear from the board, new ones drop in as an avalanche, and the process repeats for as long as fresh wins keep appearing.

Eight paying symbols make up the set: four animal carvings cut into rock as the lower payers, and four face and mask designs as the higher payers. A cluster of five identical symbols returns between 0.1x and 1x the stake, climbing to 2.5x-6.5x for a cluster of 14 or more.

Each reel carries its own MultiMax multiplier, starting at x1 and climbing by one point every time a wild lands on it during an avalanche. Land wilds across several reels in one cluster and their multipliers add together before applying to the win, though a losing spin or the end of an avalanche chain resets them all in the base game. Three wild types can appear: a standard wild, a WildEnergy wild that carries two, three or four lives and stays on the grid losing a life with each win until it runs out, and an Extra Multiplier wild that adds anywhere from x2 to x50 straight to its reel's multiplier.

Landing high-pay symbols carrying a sub-symbol feeds a Grand Prize collection that can pay out at 15x, 25x, 500x or 1,000x the stake once enough are gathered. On any spin that doesn't produce a win, one of three modifiers can fire instead: Hand of the Gods converts a batch of non-winning symbols into a win, Temple Wind does the same across a single row, and Sun Stone reshapes a 2x2 section of the board into a winning pattern.

Scatters set the free spins total: three lands 7 spins, four lands 9, and five lands the full 11. Once triggered, players can gamble that total for a shot at all 11 spins, risking the round entirely if the gamble fails. MultiMax multipliers carry over between spins for the whole free spins session rather than resetting, though the round itself cannot be retriggered. A Golden Bet raised to 1.2x the stake improves the odds of reaching free spins, while 1.5x guarantees only special wild types during each avalanche; players who would rather skip ahead can buy in directly for 100x the stake for a random 7-11 spins, or 200x for a guaranteed 11.

MexoMax 2 pays out at an RTP of 94% in its default configuration, with an alternate 90.5% setting also available, and Yggdrasil rates it as high volatility with a maximum win of 10,000x the stake. Hit frequency comes in at 29.56%, and stakes run from 0.10 up to 50 per spin.
