Mystery Genie Fortunes of the Lamp

An entertainingly cast genie, drawn as a woman rather than the usual broad-shouldered blue genie of slot tradition, fronts Play'n GO's Mystery Genie Fortunes of the Lamp, a five-reel, four-row game built on randomness rather than a fixed bonus structure. Rich blues and gold leaf dress the reels around her, with a level of finish typical of the studio's higher-tier work.

Twenty paylines evaluate combinations of three to five matching symbols. Ten card ranks make up the lower paytable, worth 1.2x to 2x the bet for a full line of five, while a set of character symbols above them return 5x to 8x. A wild can land on any reel, substitutes for the regular paying symbols, and carries the value of the top symbol whenever it forms a line entirely on its own.

Mystery symbols are the engine behind almost everything here, capable of landing in any position on the grid. Once the reels stop, each one resolves into either a mystery wild or a matching set of ordinary paying icons, every mystery symbol that turns into a pay symbol reveals the same one, while occasionally uncovering a scatter or triggering the Sand Respins mechanic instead. A mystery wild carries a chance of an added x2 to x5 multiplier, and where a winning line crosses more than one multiplier-carrying wild, the values stack before being applied to the payout.

Triggering Sand Respins locks every mystery symbol, scatter and mystery wild already on the grid and sets off one further spin, during which the locked mystery symbols close over and then reopen showing a fresh random outcome. Three scatters landing together opens 8 free spins, and mystery wilds picked up during that round stay locked in place for its duration; additional scatters appearing mid-feature extend the round by 2, 5 or 8 spins depending on how many land at once.

Rated 7 out of 10 for volatility, Mystery Genie Fortunes of the Lamp pays 96.2% under its default setting, with configurable drops to 94.2%, 91.2%, 87.2% or as low as 84.2% depending on where it is hosted. Stakes range from a low 0.05 up to 100 per spin, and the game's maximum win reaches 6,000 times the bet, a ceiling built almost entirely from how often the mystery reels decide to turn into wilds rather than plain symbols.
