The gorilla from Red Tiger's original Primate King returns for a Megaways rework in Primate King Megaways, swapping the fixed grid for a 6-reel layout where 2 to 7 symbols can land per reel, opening up as many as 117,649 ways to win once every reel is full. The rightmost reel starts each session locked out of play entirely, sitting dead until it's freed through the coin mechanic described below, while skulls and dense undergrowth carry over the jungle-and-danger dressing from the original.

Winning combinations must start from the leftmost reel, and any symbols involved in a win clear out to let new ones drop in — a sequence that keeps repeating for as long as fresh wins keep forming. Chain-wrapped card ranks from 9 to A sit at the bottom of the paytable, worth 0.3x-0.7x the stake for five of a kind or 0.4x-1x for six, while a dagger, map, skull, compass and treasure chest make up the premium set, paying 0.8x-5x for five matching symbols and 1.2x-20x for six.
