Queen of Riches

Big Time Gaming built Queen of Riches around a Megaways engine that resets its reel count on every spin, and an Egyptian setting of pharaohs, scarabs and temple stonework sits behind the numbers. Released in May 2016, the title runs on six reels each holding up to seven symbols, which lets the maximum of 117,649 ways to win shift from one spin to the next.

The reels themselves are the story here. Queen of Riches uses a cloned-reel system: certain reels can split during a spin, spawning duplicate reels that stack alongside the originals. Each clone adds its own symbols to the grid, so a spin that starts with six columns can finish with considerably more active reels feeding into the ways calculation. Because the split can happen on any reel and any spin, no two rounds land with quite the same structure, and the swings between a narrow six-reel spin and a heavily cloned one are what drive the game's high volatility rating.

Golden pharaoh heads, ornate scarabs and temple-carved symbols carry the top pay values against the backdrop, with the cloned-reel mechanic doing the work of turning a modest base hit into a much larger one when several duplicated reels line up together. The animation and sound design lean into the same Egyptian adventure register throughout, keeping the visual language consistent whether the grid is at its baseline size or fully expanded.

Betting runs from 0.20 up to 100 per spin. RTP is set at 96.9%, paired with a high-volatility profile and a maximum win of 77,800x the stake, a figure only reachable once several reel clones stack in the same round. There's no bonus-buy option on this title, so every clone and every expanded grid has to be earned through ordinary spins rather than purchased outright.

Played over time, Queen of Riches feels less like a conventional Megaways title and more like a slot where the reel count itself is the volatility engine. Quiet stretches on the standard six-reel layout give way to spins where multiple clones stack at once, and it's in those moments that the game's five-figure win potential comes into play.
