Box Bonanza turned out to be a pretty decent slot and I ended up playing it for longer than I planned. The base game was a bit hit and miss at the start, but once it warmed up I started getting some nice wins that kept the balance moving in the right direction.
I like that there’s always that feeling the next spin could set something off, especially when the boxes start getting involved. It had a few dry spells but nothing too brutal during my session. Overall I had a good run on it and there’s definitely enough potential here to make me come back for another go.
The bonus
I finally managed to get into the bonus on Box Bonanza and this was where the game got a lot more interesting. It didn’t explode straight away though. The first few spins were actually pretty average and I was sitting there wondering if I’d spent all that time chasing the bonus just to get paid next to nothing 😂 Luckily it started to turn around and once the better combinations began landing the total started climbing much faster.
There were a couple of really good moments where the boxes had me thinking something massive was about to happen. One spin in particular looked like it was going nowhere and then completely changed at the last second, which is exactly the sort of thing I want from a bonus.
I’d rather have that suspense than know after two spins that the feature is completely dead.
It still had a few blank spins and there were definitely some painful near misses, especially when it looked like everything was setting up perfectly and then the last thing I needed just refused to land. Typical slot behaviour 😂 But overall the bonus gave me a decent run and ended much better than I expected from the way it started.
I didn’t hit anything absolutely ridiculous this time, but I could definitely see how it could pay seriously well with the right sequence. I’d happily play it again and chase another bonus because it feels like there’s a much bigger one waiting to happen.
