Valkyrie Splitz

Boomerang released Valkyrie Splitz as the third title in its Lightning Chase range, built with ReelPlay and Yggdrasil Gaming. Yggdrasil contributed its Splitz mechanic, which Boomerang combined with a hold-and-win round, and the setting is a mountainous Norse landscape with dramatic music.

The grid has five reels and three rows, and wins pay for matching symbols running left to right from reel one, with row position irrelevant. That gives 243 ways to win in the base layout, rising to a maximum of 15,552 when Splitz symbols split. Card suit tiles pay 0.33x the stake for five of a kind, and spears, shields, ravens and gates pay between 0.66x and 1.66x. A Valkyrie on horseback is the wild and replaces any regular paying symbol.

The Splitz feature runs in ten-spin cycles, called Spin 10 Splitz. The Valkyrie is the Splitz symbol, and when it splits it becomes two, three or four copies of a paying symbol, a coin or a wild, with wins counted after the split. On spins one to nine of a cycle, each Splitz symbol that lands leaves a bordered position behind, and on the tenth spin all of those bordered positions turn into Splitz symbols.

Coins carry values from 1x to 888x the stake and are collected whenever a Collect symbol is in view together with them. Six or more coins start the Hold and Respin round with three respins. The triggering coins stay locked while the rest of the grid respins, any new coin is held and resets the counter to three, and the round ends when the respins run out. Collect symbols gather every coin value in view and the feature carries on.

An optional Side Strike bet, where available, lets players pick how many red or green chips will appear on reels one and five. Its return is stated as 98%.

The main game has an RTP of 96.51% and low volatility, with a hit frequency of 24.44%. The maximum win is 5,000x the stake and bets run from 0.30 to 30.
