Valkyries

Armenian studio Peter Sons staged Valkyries inside a theatre, drawing loosely on Wagner's opera Die Walkure, the second part of The Ring of the Nibelung. Rather than retelling the plot, the slot follows the Valkyries welcoming fallen heroes into Valhalla. The visuals recall a peepshow box with a scene that moves as a handle turns, and the soundtrack carries an operatic character.

A five-reel, three-row grid with 10 paylines forms the base game, and a line pays once three or more identical symbols sit on it. The card royals from 10 to A are the lowest symbols, followed by four Valkyries and Wotan. The character symbols pay between 7x and 11x the stake for five of a kind, and the wild is worth 12x. Wilds replace any regular symbol and also drive most of the features.

Landing two scatters anywhere triggers the Power Reel, a horizontal strip below the main grid that spins once. A blue symbol in one of its cells adds a Locking Wild to the reel above, and a red symbol adds a Dropping Wild. Wild Respins follow and end when no Dropping Wilds are left in view; if none are present, the Locking Wilds guarantee at least two respins. Locking Wilds only arrive through the Power Reel and stay in place until the respins finish. Dropping Wilds can also appear naturally, and on each respin they move down one row until they leave the grid. Both types may carry a multiplier of x1, x2, x3, x4, x5 or x10, and when a Dropping Wild overlaps another wild the two merge for that spin and their multipliers add.

Three scatters in the base game award 10 free spins. The Power Reel stays unlocked for the whole round, and each Locking Wild that appears adds two more spins. Where the feature buy is offered, it costs 73x the total bet and starts the 10 free spins directly.
