Viking Fall

Blueprint Gaming's Viking Fall is staged inside a Viking hall of carved stone walls and worn steps, with a heavy soundtrack and a camera that pans as the grid changes shape. The board begins as six reels by four rows and gains or loses rows during play, so the ways to win move between 4,096 and 262,144.

Wins form when matching symbols land on three or more adjacent reels starting from the left. Four character symbols are the high pays, and a six-reel line of them returns 1.1x to 2.5x the stake. The low pays are rune tiles, hammers, swords, axes and helms, worth 0.2x to 0.6x for six. Wilds can land anywhere and replace everything except scatters.

Every win triggers a cascade. The winning symbols are cleared, new ones fall in from above, and one more row is added to the grid, up to a height of eight rows. When a cascade run finishes with no further wins, the base game board shrinks back to four rows. Each wild that appears in view adds +1 to the Win-X multiplier; in the base game that multiplier is wiped between spins.

A Colossal Symbol can drop in on any spin. It reveals a random pay symbol and always results in a win.

Three or more scatters visible at the end of a spin, or when a cascade sequence stops, start the free spins. Three, four, five or six scatters award 6, 8, 10 or 12 spins. The bonus changes the rules in two ways. The Win-X multiplier carries across spins rather than resetting, and a minimum-ways system keeps any rows that were added, so the grid stays at its tallest level for the rest of the round instead of dropping to four. Three or more scatters during the round retrigger it. Where the feature is permitted, the Bonus Buy puts a player straight into free spins for 100x the bet.
