Iron Dog Studio built Viking Wilds around a Norse journey toward the gates of Valhalla, with a winged Valkyrie and a Viking Berserker as the hosts. The reels sit against wintry isles and snow-capped peaks. The set starts as 5 reels with 1,024 ways to win, and random reel expansions can lift that to 3,125 ways. Symbols are Viking-styled royals from A down to J, plus axes, shields, helmets and hammers. Three banners form the premium tier, and the red banner is the richest, paying 5x the stake for five of a kind.

The engine is a tumbling one. Each winning combination is removed, new symbols fall into the gaps, and the process repeats until no win remains. Three kinds of wild support it. A standard wild substitutes as usual. A sticky wild appears only on the middle reel and, unlike the standard version, survives a tumble, dropping one position instead of disappearing. An expanding wild can land on any reel but the first and stretches to fill its whole reel.

The Valhalla free spins start when all three wild types arrive during one series of drops. The base award is 12 free spins at a x1 multiplier. If reels expanded on the triggering spin, the start improves: one expanded reel gives 14 spins at x2, three give 16 spins at x3, and five give 18 spins at x4.

Inside the bonus, each expanding wild or reel expansion raises the multiplier meter by 1 and widens the ways to win, and both gains remain for the rest of the round.
