Wild Rails by Play'n GO takes place in the golden age of rail travel and turns the usual reel motion on its side, with the reels scrolling horizontally. The board is five reels by four rows with 30 fixed paylines, and the game was released in July 2019. Stakes run from 0.30 to 90 per spin, volatility is rated 10 out of 10, and the maximum win is 5,000x.

Visually, the reels sit inside a gorge, on a four-tier railway bridge between two mountain sides. Train carriages roll in carrying the symbols, and the style leans toward steampunk. The low pays are royals from 10 to A, and four distinguished travellers form the premium tier. The top character, a woman holding a hand fan, pays 20x the stake for five on a line. The wild is central to the game, and a full line of them pays 30x.

RTP is 96.53% in the standard setting, though the game is also issued in four lower versions: 94.58%, 91.57%, 87.53% and 84.57%. Which one is live depends on the operator.

Wild Trains can arrive at random on any base game spin. Up to four of them can stop on the reels, and each brings as many as five wilds, which works like a stack of fully wild reels. If the entire screen fills with wilds in the base game, the payout is 900x the total bet.

Three or more golden train scatters start the Free Spins round: three scatters give 5 spins, four give 7 and five give 10. A Wild Train is guaranteed on every spin from the beginning. Each set of three scatters collected earns another Wild Train and another spin. Once all four Wild Trains are collected, 3 additional spins arrive, and a further 3 follow for every third scatter after that, continuing until the spins are spent. In the round, the scatter also acts as a wild.
