I played Beetle Jewels in demo mode at $1 a spin and had a pretty decent run on it. The Egyptian theme looks great and the bright jewel and beetle symbols make the reels really easy to follow. The base game started off quite slowly for me with plenty of small wins that mostly just kept the balance ticking over, but after a while it started throwing in some better hits.

I ended up getting a $200 win which was easily the highlight of the session. It wasn’t constantly paying, but there was enough happening to keep me spinning and waiting for another decent combination to land.

The bonus

I played the Beetle Jewels bonus in demo mode at a $1 bet size and this was where the game finally started to come alive for me. The first few spins honestly weren’t looking too promising. I picked up a couple of smaller wins, but nothing that made me think the feature was going to turn into anything special.

I was basically just hoping the remaining spins would finally connect with something decent.

Thankfully it did pick up. A much better combination landed and pushed the total up nicely, then another hit came in shortly afterwards and suddenly the bonus looked completely different. I eventually got the win up to around $200, which I was more than happy with from a $1 demo bet.

I liked that it wasn’t just one instant hit and then nothing afterwards either. The total built up during the feature, so there was still that feeling that another good spin could push it even higher. The Egyptian theme works really well during the bonus too, especially with all the scarabs and jewel symbols filling the screen.

There were definitely a few dead spins mixed in and at one point I thought it was going to finish much lower than it did, but the later spins saved it. Obviously it was demo money rather than a real cash win, but a $200 result from a $1 bet was still a satisfying way to finish the feature. I’d happily play this bonus again and try to beat that total.
