Foxium built Blazin' Rails around a cash-collect mechanic, staging the action inside a first-class train cabin done up in art deco style, with green upholstery, warm lighting and detailed woodwork; no specific destination is named, leaving it open to the player's imagination.

The reels hold 20 symbols across a 5x4 grid, with 25 fixed paylines carrying regular wins. Stakes run from 20 cents up to 25 in the local currency per spin, and progress on one of the bonus multipliers is stored separately for each bet level. Card-suit symbols — clubs, diamonds, spades and hearts, all rendered as jewels — form the lower-paying tier, rewarding 1.6 to 2 times the stake for five in a row. Above them sit the cash-themed premiums: stacks of banknotes, a stuffed wallet, gold bars and a gold dollar sign, worth 6 to 16 times the bet for a five-symbol line. A wild appears on every reel, standing in for any paying symbol and carrying the same payout as the diamond when it forms its own win.

The game's central feature is Cash Collect. Train symbols worth 1x to 500x the stake — including four fixed jackpot values — can land on any reel, while a dedicated Collect symbol appears only on the rightmost reel during the base game; when both are on screen together, the Collect symbol sweeps up every Train value in view. A separate Train Booster multiplier starts at x1 and climbs to a cap of x10 whenever a Multiplier Upgrade symbol lands on that same rightmost reel, applying its current value to any Train symbols collected before resetting after each collection event.

Landing at least one Train symbol on every reel of the base game awards five free spins, and here each reel carries its own Money Vault that fills as Train or multiplier symbols land on it, retaining whatever it collects between spins. Extra symbols specific to the round can pay out a single vault, sweep every vault at once, add another 1x-500x value to a vault or all vaults together, apply a x2-x5 multiplier to one vault, or apply that multiplier across the board, and an Extra Spins symbol can add up to five further spins to the round.
