Crusader

Elk Studios sets Crusader around the final defence of Acre in 1291, the last major stronghold held by Crusader forces before the wider campaign collapsed, and renders that history in muted reds and dark tones around a fortress lit up at night. The reel set begins as a 5-reel, 4-row grid carrying 26 paylines, both of which expand once the bonus round activates.

Low-value symbols use a queen-to-ace card style dressed in a knight-adjacent font. Above them sit a chalice, a dagger, a box, and three distinct cross designs, with the chalice the strongest of the bunch at 10x the stake for five of a kind. Every paying symbol, wild included, can land stacked across a reel.

A dedicated Crusader wild appears only on the first and fifth reels and substitutes for any other paying symbol. When it lands only partially in view, it triggers a respin that nudges it up or down until it settles fully on the reel; if both the first and fifth reels show a fully visible Crusader wild at the same time, the base game hands over to a bonus round of 8 free spins.

Inside free spins, the two Crusader wilds lock in place on their reels for the rest of the feature. A new arrow symbol, the Expansion Symbol, can also appear during the round; each time it lands, it adds one extra free spin and permanently grows the grid by an additional row, up to a ceiling of 12 rows, lifting the number of ways to win as high as 98.
