Five years after the original, Pragmatic Play brought back Fire Strike's core mechanic and rebuilt it around new content for Fire Strike 2, released in May 2022. The reel setup stays at five reels, three rows and ten fixed paylines, but the visuals have been sharpened considerably — bold, high-contrast colour work replaces the softer original, and the soundtrack swaps the earlier lounge tone for something closer to a house-party beat.

Paytable symbols carry over with a refresh: bells, banknotes, casino chips, playing cards and dice fill the lower half, single, double and triple bar icons step through the middle, and blue, pink and red sevens rank at the top, worth between 5x and 100x the stake for five of a kind. A Firestrike wild appears on every reel, substitutes for any paying symbol, and is worth 200x the stake when five line up across a payline.

The instant-cash mechanic returns as the Firestrike Bonus and Wild Jackpot: landing six or more Firestrike or wild symbols anywhere on the grid, in any position, pays out immediately on a rising scale from 1x for six up to 2,500x for fourteen, with a full screen of fifteen worth the 25,000x jackpot. New to the sequel is a free spins round, triggered by three diamond scatters landing on reels one, three and five for 12 free spins. Inside the feature, Firestrike symbols that land can turn sticky for the rest of the round, and the same instant-prize scale applies but shifted down by one symbol — five already start paying, building toward that same 25,000x jackpot for a full board of wilds.
