Fortune Cats Golden Stacks

Thunderkick dialled back the darker fantasy themes usual to its catalogue for Fortune Cats Golden Stacks, a cartoon-style slot built around smiling cat characters and a bright pink-and-teal colour palette. Card-rank symbols in clubs, diamonds, spades and hearts fill the low end of the paytable, fish, calabashes and lanterns sit in the middle, and golden cat symbols pay the most; a wild appears on reels two through five and substitutes for any of them. Mystery symbols can land anywhere on any spin and transform themselves plus one other randomly chosen symbol type into the top-paying golden cat, converting otherwise ordinary spins into bigger wins without warning.

Three or more scatters award ten free spins and set the number of active game grids running simultaneously — three scatters starts the round with one grid, four with two, and five with all three. Extra grids can still be unlocked mid-bonus by collecting further scatters: three more scatters brings in the second grid and five more brings in the third, and each grid stays active once opened. Every scatter collected also adds a free spin, and unlocking a new grid adds two more on top. Once multiple grids are running, filling an entire reel with the golden cat symbol on one grid clones that reel onto every other active grid, a mechanic Thunderkick calls its Golden Stacks feature and the source of the game's name.

Fortune Cats Golden Stacks carries medium volatility and a 2,500x maximum win, with paylines scaling from 40 up to 120 as more grids come into play. The default RTP is 96.14%, though operators can also run it at 94.14%, 92.14% or 90.14%, with wagers spanning 0.10 to 100 a spin. The free spins round is where all of the game's depth lives — the base game is comparatively quiet, built mainly to feed scatters toward a bonus that can multiply itself across three grids at once.
