Money Mariachi Infinity Reels

ReelPlay put its highest-volatility spin yet on the Infinity Reels engine with Money Mariachi Infinity Reels, a Day of the Dead release from December 2021. Marigolds, sugar skulls, candles and altar imagery cover the reels in bright, neon-toned artwork, using the same expanding format ReelPlay had already built for earlier titles, tuned here for much bigger swings.

Play starts on a compact 3-reel, 4-row grid. Any win touching the rightmost reel adds a new reel to the layout, and the process repeats as long as the extra reel keeps the win going; once a spin stops improving, the game resets back to its 3x4 starting size for the next one. Combinations need at least five matching symbols running from the first reel, and a running multiplier climbs alongside the expansion — it opens at x1 and gains +1 for every reel that gets added, applying to the win once the sequence ends.

Six holiday-themed icons fill the lower half of the paytable — bouquets, candles, gravestones, hats, maracas and glowing trinkets among them — while four character symbols sit above them as the premiums, doing double duty as the special symbols that appear during the respin round. A guitar acts as the wild, standing in for every paying symbol it lands beside.

Landing three or more Shrine symbols opens Level Up Respins: three respins begin, the triggering Shrines lock in place carrying a starting value worth 1 to 10 times the stake, and any fresh Shrine that lands resets the counter back to three. Every respin, the Shrine and its special variants collect skulls, and once one gathers six, it levels up by an amount also worth 1 to 10 times the stake before its skull count clears. On levelling up, a Shrine can turn into one of four variants: a Grower that keeps advancing on its own each respin without needing skulls and can pick up bonus levels from hearts; a Freezer that locks the respin count for two rounds before reverting; a Booster that raises the value of neighbouring Shrine-type symbols whenever it levels; and a Charmer that lowers the skull requirement for its neighbours and hands them hearts. Neighbouring counts diagonally as well as up, down, left and right, and no symbol's skull requirement can fall below one. A reel filling entirely with Shrine or special symbols triggers another expansion.

Reaching twelve or more total reels in a single round — whether that happens during the base game or mid-respin — pays an Infinity Bonus on top of whatever else the spin has already returned. Players can also spend 100x the stake to jump straight into Level Up Respins, landing on a grid already expanded to somewhere between six and fifteen reels, a purchase that can also trigger the Infinity Bonus outright.

Money Mariachi Infinity Reels runs at 96.19% RTP with high volatility and a 26.25% hit frequency, and the maximum win reaches 50,000x the stake. Stakes span 0.20 to 40 per spin.
