Thunderkick followed its 2017 hit with Pink Elephants 2, moving the setting from an arid desert to a galactic mountain scene scattered with stars and broken stone arches, while keeping the six-reel, four-row, 4,096-way structure of the original intact. Four goat symbols, coloured blue, green, orange and purple, replace the lemur cast from the first game as the mid-tier paying set, sitting below a run of 9-through-A royals carved into grey rock tiles. The Pink Elephant remains the top payer, worth 10x the stake for six matching symbols, and it needs only two matching symbols rather than three to register a win. A pink W wild substitutes for any paying symbol, and combinations form left to right across the reels' 4,096 ways.

A golden peanut scatter triggers the free spins feature: three scatters open 7 spins, four open 11, five open 15, and six open 19. During the base game, a random Mystery Scatter Symbol event can add between one and five scatters to the reels at once, increasing the odds of reaching the bonus. Inside the free spins, Elephant Orbs fill meters attached to each goat symbol; completing a meter upgrades that goat to the next symbol up the paytable and adds one extra spin, and once all four meters are filled the goats convert into Pink Elephants.
