Rise of Khepri

Light & Wonder, formerly SG Digital, moves from its usual Greek-themed slots into Ancient Egypt with Rise of Khepri, released in July 2023. Pyramids, obelisks and symmetrical stone carvings fill the backdrop, and the scarab — the traditional symbol of Khepri, the god associated with the rising sun — recurs throughout the reels and the bonus symbols.

Wins form under a 243-ways-to-win system across the 5-reel, 3-row layout, triggered whenever three or more matching symbols land on adjacent reels starting from the left. Bets range from 0.10 to 20 per spin.

Card royals from 10 to Ace fill the lower-value end of the pay table, worth 2x to 2.5x the stake when five appear together. A pyramid-and-sphinx symbol tops the premium tier alongside an eye, an ankh, a vase and a scroll, paying 4x to 15x for a five-symbol combination. A wild is present on every reel except the leftmost and substitutes for any paying symbol.

Scarab and Mega Scarab symbols can land on any reel. A single Mega Scarab pays a cash prize outright; two award a cash prize with a multiplier attached; three award a doubled multiplier cash prize and immediately launch the Super Free Games round.

Landing three regular Scarabs triggers the standard Free Games round, where players choose between 12 spins starting at a x1 Scarab value, 9 spins starting at x2, 6 spins starting at x5, or a random mix of the three. The current multiplier is displayed beside the reels through the round: each Scarab that lands pays out that value, then raises it by the starting value chosen at the outset, climbing as high as x200. The round does not retrigger.

Three Mega Scarabs instead open Super Free Games, a fixed 12-spin round where the Scarab multiplier increases in steps of x5 and every ways win during the round is multiplied by x3. Like the standard round, it cannot be retriggered. Where bonus buys are permitted, the regular Free Games can be bought directly for 50 times the stake.

RTP peaks at 96.12% under the highest configuration, dropping to 94% or 90% elsewhere; volatility is medium, and the maximum win is 7,500 times the stake.
