The game's engine is an 'X' symbol that appears exclusively on the first reel. Any row where the X sits next to landed digits reads those numbers together as a bet multiplier - an X beside a 1 and a 0 on the same row builds 10x, for instance - and every qualifying row's value is totalled and paid at the end of the respin.
