Nolimit City frames Tanked as a turf war between four Warlord characters who patrol the reels in miniature tanks, clearly drawing on the collection-based mechanics ELK Studios popularised with its Pirots titles while dressing the idea up in explosives rather than birds. The default grid runs 6 reels with an uneven 4-6-6-6-6-4 layout that can expand outward as the round progresses, and there are no paylines, ways, clusters or scatters governing base-game wins - instead, the moving Warlord characters do the collecting.

Four coloured pay symbols - red, green, light blue and dark blue - are each tied to one of the Warlords, who pick up matching-coloured symbols as they move around the grid; every character can also collect wild symbols regardless of colour. Once collections resolve, new symbols drop in to refill the space. Payout values for the four symbols start as low as 0.05x to 0.15x the bet at their base level. Any character can also pick up multiplier tokens, and multipliers gained this way stack additively across a spin.

Destruction drives most of the volatility. Warlords carry Tank Boosters - Rocket, Grenade, Power Drill or Airstrike - until movement stops, then detonate them: a Rocket clears one enemy and nearby symbols while growing the grid by a step, a Grenade wipes pay symbols around a targeted enemy, a Power Drill drives into the largest matching-colour cluster and clears a path through characters, symbols and wilds while collecting anything useful along the way, and an Airstrike can hit up to three enemies at once. xBombs and Barrel Bombs go off once no character can move and no booster is available - the former clears pay symbols and adds +1 to the running multiplier, the latter clears symbols and grows the grid by a step. Three adjacent, immobile characters cause a Small Boom, four cause a Big Boom that also expands the grid.

Each explosion costs a character a life under the Kill Count system, and three lost lives kills it outright, removing it and its matching symbols until the next evaluation brings it back. Two further symbols add momentum: the xNudge Wild drops to the reel's base, setting or raising a multiplier by +1 per step nudged (or +1 per extra xNudge landing), while xSplit doubles every pay symbol on its reel, turns wild itself, and doubles the value of any multiplier it touches. Grid expansion runs in stages from the starting 6x6 core up to a maximum 9x9, jumping there immediately whenever a Tank Booster explosion involves an xBomb or Barrel Bomb.

Landing 3 scatters awards 5 Carnage Spins, carrying over the current multiplier, kill counts and grid size; 4 scatters instead trigger 7 Carnage Royale spins, which lock the grid to 9x9 and add +5 to the carried-over multiplier. If every character dies in one explosion during either bonus, the remaining spins upgrade to Mayhem Spins - grid fixed at 9x9, +10 added to the multiplier, and every character reduced to a single life, with further simultaneous deaths adding both an extra spin and another +10 to the multiplier.

A 3x-bet booster roughly quadruples the odds of triggering a bonus, and 40x distributes four random Tank Boosters onto the grid.
