Peter & Sons frames The Legend of Musashi around a legendary Japanese swordsman, setting the action inside a quiet wooden hall of sloped tiled roofs and hanging lanterns. The game runs on a 6-reel, 4-row grid offering 4,096 ways to win, with winning combinations tumbling off the board and refilling from above rather than the reels simply resetting.

Everyday weapons and objects — blades, clubs, nunchucks and fans — make up the lower-paying symbols, alongside card suits, while two named characters sit at the top of the pay table. A scroll marked with a 'W' acts as the wild, standing in for any other paying symbol on the grid.

Scatters that land in groups of fewer than three are banked into a counter; once 65 have been collected, Power Mode switches on and hands out 3 to 10 ninja-star lives. Every wild that lands during Power Mode expands to fill its reel and spends one of those lives, and if more wilds appear than there are lives left, they are converted one at a time from left to right until the supply runs out. Landing 3 scatters awards 10 free spins, with 2 more added for each extra scatter beyond that. Wilds expand automatically throughout the round, and hitting a scatter during free spins both adds an extra spin and raises the multiplier's starting value by 1, though it otherwise resets after each spin as normal. Collecting 650 scatters in total unlocks Super Free Spins, which run the same way except the multiplier keeps climbing for the whole feature instead of resetting.
