Tree of Riches

Three reels, three rows and a single payline make up Tree of Riches, Pragmatic Play's contribution to the classic one-line format. It carries a Chinese theme: a red velvet backdrop patterned with Asian-style waves, and a calm backing track underneath. The release date was October 2019.

The symbol list is very short. Only four symbols exist in total, one of which is the wild, a golden tree. The other three are money bags in green, blue and red, and three of a kind on the payline pays 28x, 58x or 88x the stake respectively. With so few symbols and one line, every spin resolves quickly and there is little to read on the screen.

Two small features carry the whole design. The first is a random win multiplier. Whenever the golden tree is part of a winning combination, the win may be multiplied by 5x, 8x or 10x, and it is a chance rather than a certainty. The second is a respin. If two wilds land alongside a blank position, that empty spot spins again until a win is formed.

The multiplier is what pushes the top prize beyond the printed symbol values, and the maximum win is 2,880x the stake. Since the best plain line pays 88x, anything much above that has to come through the tree.

For the maths, Pragmatic Play lists Tree of Riches at an RTP of 96.52%, with two lower configurations of 95.53% and 94.53% that operators can select instead. Volatility is high, and stakes range from 0.01 up to 50 per spin, so the same three-reel layout covers very small bets and large ones.
