Unusual Catch

A fishing trip replaces the crime scene in Unusual Catch from Northern Lights Gaming. The view shows a bubbling sea beside a palm-lined city skyline, with the base game set in daylight and the free spins played at night. Symbols include fish-scaled card ranks 10 through A for the low pays, plus bottles, hooks, hats or glasses and dinghies as the higher payers, worth 2x to 10x the bet for five of a kind.

The reels form a 5x4 grid, and the paylines range from 20 to 45. Wilds can land on every reel and replace any pay symbol, and five in a line pay 10x. A landing wild leaves a sticky frame at x1 around its position, and each further wild dropping into an already framed spot raises that multiplier by one, up to x5. A Purple Wild creates more wilds or another Purple Wild. When the Angler symbol appears, it fills every framed position with wilds, and any multiplier on a line applies to the wins it takes part in. Frames are cleared once the Angler Wild Bonus ends in the base game, but they persist through free spins.

Scatters count in two ways. Exactly two in view add a token to the Booster Meter, which needs 50 tokens, and if those two sit in the top three rows, Nudging Respins begin: reels holding a scatter are held and nudged down a row while the others respin, and stop when a scatter has dropped to the last row or when five have landed.

Three, four or five scatters trigger Bad Bass Free Spins with 10, 15 or 20 spins. Anglers collected on the Bonus Trail unlock extra rounds: three, six, nine and twelve of them give +5 spins with x2, x3, x5 and x10 multipliers. A full Booster Meter at the start unlocks Big Boss 1 and then resets.

The RTP is 96.04%, with alternate settings of 94.07% and 92.12%. Volatility is medium, the hit frequency is 35%, and the maximum win is 8,000x. Bets run from 0.10 to 20. The bonus can be bought for 38.6x the bet, or reached through a Gamble wheel where a green segment wins the spins; neither route uses sticky frames or Booster Meter progress.
