Key facts

  • 100× or more: 29.4% of 16,352 recorded bonuses.
  • 500× or more: 4.2%.
  • Under 50×: 50%. Nothing at all: 0.7%.
  • Median 49.9×, average 128.6×.
  • High-volatility slots hit 100× less often but pay more when they do.
  • Every figure is a recorded observation from past play, not a prediction for the next bonus.

Why 100× matters

A bought bonus often costs around 100 times the bet, so 100× is the rough line between a bonus that paid for itself and one that did not. In a bonus hunt, a few 100× results usually decide whether the hunt finishes near its starting balance.

Where the numbers come from

Every bonus opened in the 796 hunts this site tracks is recorded with its bet and its win, losing bonuses included, across 1,860 different slots. The 100× rate is simply the share of those bonuses that returned at least 100 times the bet.

Per-slot rates are on each slot page and on the hot and cold slots list, but small samples swing a lot: a slot opened five times tells you very little.
