A pagoda glows under a purple moon while a dragon drifts through the background in Dragon Hero, Pragmatic Play's contribution to its long run of Asian-themed releases. The artwork stays fairly conventional for the genre — dragons on a couple of symbols, temple architecture framing the reels — but a wild-generating mechanic gives the game more going on than its visuals suggest.

Five reels and four rows carry 20 paylines, with wins forming for three or more matching symbols landing consecutively from the left. Ten-through-Ace card ranks fill the lower end of the paytable at 1.25x to 2.5x the stake for a full line, while a higher tier made up of a frog, a sycee, an urn, a scroll, and coin symbols sits above them, worth 5x to 40x for the same length. A standard wild appears on every reel, substitutes for anything but the scatter, and can build its own winning lines — a full line of five is worth 60x the stake on its own.

Reels two, three, and four also carry Super Wild positions in Dragon Hero. When one lands, it randomly holds one, two, or three regular wild symbols, and once the spin resolves, those held wilds are flung out to random positions across the grid — more than one can land on the same spot. Three, four, or five scatters award six, eight, or ten bonus wheels respectively, each spun individually to award one to three free spins, with the totals from every wheel added together for the round.

The free spins keep the Super Wild mechanic running but change how it behaves: any Super Wild in play stays in its position for the whole feature, still flinging wilds out after each spin, and every scatter that lands adds half a wild charge to a random Super Wild currently on the grid. Once a Super Wild has collected a full charge this way, it starts sending out an extra wild on top of its normal output for the rest of the round. Free spins can't retrigger once inside the feature.

Betting runs from 0.20 to 100 per spin against a headline RTP of 96%, alongside two lower configurations down to 94.03%, high volatility rated 5 out of 5, and a maximum win of 5,000x the stake. The free spins round can also be bought directly for 100x the stake, which guarantees three scatters on the triggering spin and raises the maximum available RTP slightly to 96.13%.
