Nightmaker

Elk Studios steps outside its usual playful register for Nightmaker, trading pirate birds and cartoon bulls for a genuinely unsettling setting: the reels sit inside a ridged, organic tunnel that owes more to Alien-style set design than anything else in the studio's catalogue, scored by music built for dread rather than fun.

The grid itself is unusual before any feature triggers. Five columns land in a 3-5-5-5-3 shape with a feature row sitting above, producing 1,125 ways to win by default. Unlocking the four corner positions raises that to 3,125, and once symbols start splitting the ways count can climb as high as 25,000. Wins clear from the grid once paid, gravity pulls remaining symbols down to fill the gaps, and the cycle repeats for as long as new combinations keep forming. Four cryptic marking symbols make up the low pays, worth 0.4x the stake for five of a kind, while three strange objects and a skull face sit at the top of the paytable, paying 0.8x to 10x for a full line. Wild symbols substitute for any paying icon and stay locked in place until they reach the bottom row.

Big Symbols can appear as 3x5 blocks across the middle three reels, later splitting into fifteen individual 1x1 symbols once a feature interacts with that column; a rattle effect on an opening spin can drop one to three of these blocks in on its own. Sitting above the grid, the feature row fires off one of four effects into a column each time it activates: Wild Spirit seeds one to six wild symbols into the top positions and keeps them safe from removal for an extra win, Symbol Multiplier attaches a multiplier to every matching symbol in that column, Wildfire converts a column to wilds around an existing wild and carries its highest multiplier across, and Split Symbols divides the column's icons up to a cap of ten per column.

Three scatters land the Bonus Game: eight free spins with one paytable symbol assigned a multiplier that persists across the round, plus all four grid corners unlocked for extra ways to win. A scatter landing in a corner during the round adds two further free spins and turns that corner into a blocker. If one of the triggering scatters is a super scatter instead, the Super Bonus Game replaces the regular round, turning that symbol into a jumping wild that relocates after every win and carries the multiplier of wherever it lands. Filling all four corners with scatters during the Bonus Game unlocks Beast Spins, a stripped-back mode where only Big Symbols appear across the middle three reels.
