Pyramid King

Pragmatic Play sets Pyramid King in a sun-baked Ancient Egypt of stone pyramids, open desert and clear blue sky, playing out its classic 'Book'-style formula with a couple of extra mechanics stitched on. A jazzy, Arabic-inflected score runs under the base game and swells during the bonus round, while bigger hits are punctuated by an unexpectedly upbeat brass sting.

The game runs on a 5x3 grid with 25 fixed paylines, a step up from the 10 paylines typical of older 'Book' titles, paying left to right from the leftmost reel on at least three matching symbols. Eight regular symbols make up the paytable, split evenly between four card-rank low pays dressed up with small Egyptian icons and four higher-value symbols — an ankh, a serpent, a ring and Anubis, the jackal-headed god, which pays the most at 20x the stake for five of a kind. A pharaoh acts as the wild, matching Anubis' payout and substituting for any regular symbol from any reel position.

Above the reels sit three fixed jackpots: Minor at 30x the stake, Major at 100x, and Grand at 1,000x. These are won through camel-shaped money symbols. Landing six or more triggers a respin feature: regular symbols clear from the grid, the money symbols already showing lock in place, and three respins begin, resetting to three whenever a fresh money symbol lands. Each money symbol carries either a random cash value or a Minor or Major jackpot label, and when the respins run out, every value on the grid is totalled and paid, with any jackpot labels added on top. Filling all fifteen positions with money symbols pays the Grand jackpot outright.

A scroll symbol handles the free spins side of Pyramid King, appearing only on reels one, three and five. Three scrolls in view pay 1x the stake and open 10 free spins. Before the round starts, one of the eight regular symbols is picked at random to act as an expanding special for the duration: whenever it lands, it fills its entire reel after the base payout and pays regardless of adjacency to the other reels. Landing three or more scrolls again during the round adds a further 10 free spins, with no stated cap on how many times this can repeat.

Medium volatility runs at 3.5 out of 5, hit frequency lands around 1 in 2.4 spins, and the default RTP is 96.5%, with 95.5% and 94.5% configurations also available depending on where the game is offered. Stakes run from 0.25 up to 125 per spin, and the maximum win is capped at 2,500x.
