Wins form from three to five matching symbols along the 19 lines. J through Ace covers the lower end of the paytable at 1x the bet for a full line of five, and five higher-value icons — hammers and stakes, headstones, coffins, skulls and spiders — form the premium group, worth 2x to 5x the bet for five of a kind. Two wild types — Bats and Bloody Wilds — substitute for any paying symbol and are worth 5x the bet on their own for a five-symbol line.

The Count's core mechanic runs on multiplier-carrying wilds. A Blood symbol that forms part of a win expands into a Bloody Wild, which may add a multiplier of x2 to x500 to that win, and multiple Bloody Wild multipliers in the same combination are combined together. Wild Bats work similarly, landing with their own x2 to x500 multiplier that's added to a win's value, with several Wild Bat multipliers on the same spin summed before being applied; an Epic Wild Bat variant additionally spreads its multiplier value across every other Bloody Wild and Wild Bat already on the reels.

Three bonus rounds sit behind the scatter symbol, starting with Bat to the Bone: three scatters open its 10-spin round, where Wild Bats land more often than in the base game. Four scatters instead trigger Rest in Pieces: a progressive counter tracks each of the five low-pay symbols, and once every section fills, its symbol turns into Wild Bats for the remainder of that round. Five scatters unlock a hidden Count on Blood bonus that keeps the Rest in Pieces rules, boosts the odds of Epic Wild Bats, and guarantees five Wild Bats on every spin. Landing two or three scatters during any of the three rounds extends the feature by two or four spins respectively.
