Bonus hunt results · our recorded opens
The best bonus buy slots, ranked by what their bonuses actually paid when we opened them live on stream. The Big Dog House by Pragmatic Play leads with a typical open of 153× the bet across 26 recorded bonuses, 58% of them paying 100x or more. Every slot here has a bonus buy and at least 20 recorded opens, so one lucky bonus can't top the list.
Results are our own recorded bonus opens, current to 2 Nov 2026. RTP and volatility are the providers' published figures.

A bonus buy (or feature buy) lets you pay a fixed price, usually around 100x the bet, to trigger a slot's bonus round straight away. So the question that matters is simple: when the bonus lands, what does it pay? Read the bonus buy guide for how the pricing works.
This list takes every slot our catalogue lists with a bonus buy feature and ranks it by our own results. Typical open is the middle result of every bonus we opened on that game during a live bonus hunt, as a multiple of the bet. 100x+ is the share of those bonuses that paid at least 100x, roughly the price of a standard buy. A slot needs at least 20 recorded opens to be ranked; ties go to the higher 100x+ rate.
These are past results, not predictions. Every bonus is random, the buy is priced to return slightly less than it costs over the long run, and the full method is on the bonus hunt dataset page. Bonus buys are not offered at casinos licensed in Great Britain.
Based on our recorded bonus hunts, the best bonus buy slots right now are The Big Dog House (Pragmatic Play, typical 153×), Fortune of Olympus (Pragmatic Play, typical 127×), Starlight Princess Super Scatter (Pragmatic Play, typical 122×), Gates of Olympus Super Scatter (Pragmatic Play, typical 103×), Le Viking (Hacksaw Gaming, typical 103×). The ranking uses the middle result of every bonus we opened on each game, across 163 bonus buy slots with at least 20 recorded opens.
The slots that work best in a bonus hunt are the ones whose bonuses reliably pay back their cost. On this list, the typical open and the 100x+ rate show that directly from our own recorded hunts; The Big Dog House currently leads at 153×. For which slots are paying right now, see the hot and cold slots page.
On average, no: a bonus buy is priced to pay back slightly less than it costs over the long run. It is a faster and more volatile way to play, not a better one. Set a budget and treat every buy as money already spent.
Most lists rank bonus buy slots by RTP or max win, which are the provider's design figures. This one ranks them by real outcomes: bonuses we opened ourselves on stream, with at least 20 recorded opens per game.
No. Bonus buys are banned at casinos licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. The results here still show how each slot's bonus round performs when it triggers naturally.
